
The Village of Thornville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Mayor’s Court Clerk.
Position Overview:
The Mayor’s Court Clerk is responsible for the part-time operations of the Mayor’s Court, including maintaining accurate records, processing court documents, handling payments, and assisting the public with court-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain all Mayor’s Court records and files.
• Accurately enter and process cases using M C Lite court software.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and legal documents as required.
• Collect, record, and balance payments of fines and fees- must be bondable.
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to the public, law enforcement, and legal representatives.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding Mayor’s Court operations.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience working in a court, legal, or administrative office preferred.
• Familiarity with M C Lite software is required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be bondable, dependable, adaptable, and flexible to the needs of the court and village operations.
